first download on this site and i'm already running into problems. The game downloaded without a hitch but whenever i run the program, it keeps asking me to install my cleo cd (which i dont have). I didnt think i would need the cd if i downloaded the program from here. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you :)

I've never heard of this problem before. I think the best thing would be to contact GOG.com Support at the following link: http://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/pharaoh_cleopatra

As a general check: you are making sure to select the right EXE for the gog.com version of the game? You might be accidentally selecting the exe for the CD-required version, assuming you've installed that version as well.
