Ok, I've mentioned before that I'm doing my master's thesis on Phantasmagoria. Because I'm trying to identify as many allusions as possible as part of my thesis, I NEED to know what the ghost is singing. Because I have a hearing loss, I really struggle with uncaptioned spoken words--especially song lyrics. So please help me!

In chapter three, if you wander around upstairs, when you hear the baby crying and you go into the nursery, the rocking chair turns and you hear singing. What are the lyrics? Does anyone recognize the melody?
This question / problem has been solved by Namurimage
The lines the ghost in the rocking chair sings:

"Hush-a-bye, don't you cry,
Go to sleepy little baby.

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry,
Go to sleepy little baby.

Blacks and bays, dapples and greys,
All the pretty little horses."

The lines are from the lullaby "All the Pretty Horses"
Damnit, why can't I be doing my masters' thesis on Phantasmagoria!

DO IT!! XD

That would be exeptionally fun to watch, your turning in of the thesis XD
Thank you Namur! I'm sorry I took so long getting back onto GOG. Plus, I had to go and check your answer for myself, because I'm skeptical like that, and that meant going back to that point in the game a few times.

mgiuca, I don't recommend it unless you really want to hate Phantasmagoria. Studying a game is often the fastest way to hate it (just remember how you hated being forced to read and analyze books in secondary school).

Anyway, I'll take that as support. Thanks, guys! I guess I'll have to let you know if I defend it successfully in a month and a half.

You're welcome. Good luck with your thesis ;)
Hey guys. I promised you an update.

I just submitted the first draft of my thesis. It's about 130 pages long, divided among six sections. I did NOT mean to make it that long (I had expected 60 pages). But I guess I had that much to say.

Thanks for your support. I'll let you know when I've successfully defended it (which will probably be in about a month).
Hey guys! I've defended my thesis! It went really well, and my committee really liked the thesis. It turned out at over 160 pages, which is a little unusual, but it worked out ok. So, thanks for your support--I gave GOG recognition in the thesis itself.

Congratulations.

Interesting subject for a thesis for sure, good to know it all went well ;)
