There is not much to do and only very few objects to use. The game is extremely easy and linear. You just have to click here and there to trigger off new cutscenes.
The interest of this game is not to be found in its gameplay, it lies in its story and its realisation, which make it more like a book or a movie than a true game. And as for the story, I found it enthralling. I loved the way the boyfriend evolves throughout the game.
The ambience is fantastic. The music is superb. The huge gothic manor on an island looks dramatic. Rooms are immense, there is even a theatre in the house! What an awe-inspiring abode, the setting is as beautiful as scary.
This game was one of the first 'interactive movie'-games featuring real actors. It is also one of the rare games to contain graphic violence.
