So, I figured out how to get the key from the attic door...but not before I realized I needed to have the newspaper under the door to catch the key. Does this mean I have to restart the entire game?! :( Only one save file...

I think you can ge the key by using the fireplace poker under the door ....if I remember right.

Wilco is right, the firepoker slides perfectly underneath the door.
