ive got 41 hours in game, i enjoy it, enjoy the trading, enjoy dominating the trade routes, monkey brain like number go higher, but holy f the actual politician system is such a slow crawl how does anyone stand it? by the time ive finally been made mayor of a city im losing interest in the run from how much im dominating everything and the actual process itself is pretty slow.

as such, is there a super efficient way of taking over towns im simply not getting due to focusing on expanding industry? just need tips / tricks for taking over towns before becoming as rich as some kings.

is the politics / technology part really boring and im doomed?




edit: as a side note, i havent played in over a year so this post is based on my memory of the time i played it.
