So Ive reached the rank of Trader. Have two ships and a third being built. What do I do now? Im not too concerned with my reputation I just want to get usesd to the gameplay.

Do I just keep trading? What business should I build? Sorry If this is not specific enough.

Edit. Ive looked many places online for some info for this game. But I cannot find anyhthing except for some cheat codes.. I dont want to use them.

Yes, you can just go on trading - look out for the best deals, get to know most of the Hanseatic towns (regarding what they produce and what they consume most), try to supply a town or two with everything they need (so they like you better), etc.
You'll have to care for your reputation, for two reasons: one, you always have to have a certain level of reputation before you can reach the next rank; and two, you have to have a good reputation in a town before you receive a building permit there (which is needed to branch out).
As for businesses - you should leave them alone for now; they require a large amount of capital to build and start to run, so I'd wait for the rank of Merchant before building your first own business. Regarding what's worth producing and what is not, I can recommend the manual (pages 40-42), as there's a list of all businesses and their weekly production along with their (estimated) total running costs. You can use those data together with your knowledge of selling prices to calculate what's worth it and what's not.

Thank you. I think this is my problem. I start with business to early. I start new game already and am trying to wait. The manual seems very informative but is very hard to read!

Thanks for the time.
Something else I cannot find:
Is there a way to get rid of ships instead of auction?
Is it possible to get competitor out of home town?

Well, you can always have your ship captured/sunk by the first pirate you come along ;-). Other than that, I don't think it's possible aside from auctions.
As for the competitor: I don't know, I don't play very competitively, but I *guess* if you can ruin his business then yes. No guarantee that's possible, though.
Thank you again.

i guess I will help the pirates become stronger :)
Glad to be of help!
Also, will you please mark my first answer as solution? Not only because then I get 5 pints (I like being helpful anyway), but because that way this thread gets listed as a solved question (and also on the game's support page), and maybe someone else will also find it helpful.
