The patch notes only mention a couple of specific mythic paths and as i understand it all mythic characters were affected by the respec bug.
Safe is to not respec at all. Especially the main character.

I dono I never had a problem with respecing, and ive done it with all my characters, inculding the main one. The onlything that doesnt transfer is the allignment points you picked.
A bit of clarification on this:

The issue is that respec bug was affecting the mechanics so deeply, that we were not able to guarantee that your game will manage to repair itself even after the fix is deployed. I.e. things may be so broken in a given playthrough after respec, that even a fix won't help it. Highest chance to bump into this is with demon and lich mythics, other mythics have a chance to be affected, but it's considerably lower.

It does not necessarily mean your game won't work or that it will suddenly stop working after the patch - it simply means that if it was already broken, there's a chance it will remain such. Thus we recommend to revert back to an old save if possible.

Edit on 15th of September:

Patch is live, and you can now respec normally in new playthroughs (or old playthroughs where you didn't respec after Drezen). Golden Dragon, Swarm-that-walks and secret mythic path temporary still have issues in lategame, but these will be repaired in the next patch as normal, and won't require a playthrough restart.

Didn't the in game respec wipe background history in Kingmaker?
I've always been suspicious of the damn thing, as there's no guarantee it won't also wipe your dialog choices.
If you really wanna be safe, you should use mods.
At least the modders will be testing & making sure their mods actually work.

Think the problem is more that it wipes your mythic path which is tied to the story, but i trust mods even less than the ingame function given how obscenely buggy the game still is.
No official answer yet so going to play it safe and assume respec still breaks your game.
