I don't care for most of the models in the game. For instance a barbarian with a giant tube on his back. Or a alchemist with a giant keg on theirs. Anyone know of a way to change this? I tried starting with a different class first, But as soon as you level up in another class they stick it right back on there.

I cannot think of a legit way but using a mod which allows you to pick the model of your liking.

A way to hide parts of your model:

If you go to the inventory screen (i) look at your charaxter model. There is a small cog icon near the botton.

If you click that icon you get the option to hide or show headwear, backpack and class gear.

Thanks.
As a demon am i not supposed to get horn? I only see tail on my half_elf.
the 'visual adjustments' mod is pretty comprehensive in terms of changing everything related to the model and rendering.

it encompasses removing/adding gear and toggling the visibility of all gear, changing the detail model elements to anything the game supports (not race limited.) changing the hair and skin color to any rgb values, and other stuff as well.

i've got a human kineticist that looks exactly like a drow which matches the custom portrait.

highly recommended.
