First, I want to complement the devs on making on making a variety of cool looking armors and accessories. Well done! But that said, it's often hard to admire them in action, when the game insists on loading both part of their texture, and part of anything worn with them, like boots.
Frustratingly, the game kind of has a better system for this already. Equip boots last, and you'll see those boots on the top layer. Equip armor last, and likewise. There's a way to get your character looking like you want, within reason. But wait, that only holds true for the zone you equipped on! Move on to anywhere else, and you'll have banded mail wrists with accessory hands, or some mixture.
TL, DR: picking what's viewable is great. Wish it stayed active between zones.
A really specific second bullet for the Professor's Hat. It's a powerful item that most people would want in their party. It's kind of a drag for it's user to lose all their hair when equipped. Better layering on this one specifically would be a nice immersion improvement for people who use it on Linzi, Amiri, or other hairy types.
