Hello all,

I have seen some tough enemies in Pitax but my oh my, this dude tops it off, ties it to a rocket and aims for Jupiter.

He has brutally high AC, about the same as the gargoyle right next door and even more spectacular spells. I tried to corner lure him but naaah, he went straight for Wail of the Banshee!

Now I will admit my party isn't exactly the Ghostbusters (the original, not the garbage) - we are level 15 with wizard main, Valerie, Linzi (quest said see the book on Pitax so took her with me), Octavia, Ekun and Nok-Nok (who's there? Sneak attack, yo!).

Any idea how to crack this one?


EDIT: I superbuffed (like, about 10 buffs on everyone) and melee rushed him plus Linzi landed a lucky dispel and I managed to cut it down.

I'm not there yet, but Octavia is a Transmuter and Disintegrate is Transmutation... Casters tend to have bad Fort save. I've certainly taken down several otherwise tough defences with that. Death Ward might help against the Wail at least, since it is a death effect.

I was having a tough time with this fight because I didn't want to rest beforehand and if you let him get Wail of the Banshee off its over, unless you have some insane Fortitude save. I think my Valerie's Fort save is around 35 which I feel like is pretty crazy and she still dies instantly. So I was playing around with inventory, potions and buffs. I was making REALLY good progress against him with Nok-Nok with Tristian's Holy Sword (holy enhance +5 on weapon) buff and Holy Aura buff, but for some reason I tried prismatic spray with my main (Sorceror, lots of buffs but I guess the only relevant one is Eagle's Splendour) and it instantly killed him. Now there are a lot of bugs in this game and I'm not sure if me instakilling this dude was part of it but things got really nuts from there on out. My Linzi disappeared from the Bar but was still alive and well (and able to use spells etc) in the world, just not on the bar. All I got from the fight was a +2 frost quarterstaff and after I picked it up it proceeded to disappear. He gives around 6k EXP and from the way the fight was going before he died, I would say your best bet is just get your dps to a level where they are hitting reliably, my NokNok was eating him alive and he does not have high spell immunity, I was hitting him for 20 dmg with Searing Arc. Main struggle will be to dispel that vampiric shield, blessing of luck and resolve for all his fear stuff, and get as much damage off as possible before Wail of the Banshee, as I'm not sure that is meant to be survived.
