My Kingmaker file size is currently sitting at about 88 GB, which I'm sure is too large. I've had it installed since 1.0.0, so I suspect that this is due to leftover patches. Anyone know if (1) I'm correct about this and (2) how to remove the extra files without disturbing my (current version) savegames / portraits?

I know I could delete everything except for the savegames and portraits files and then verify and redownload, but I'm hoping for something more elegant. Thanks!

For the latest version of GOG Windows game version 2.0.5c build 30397, the game install directory is 44 gb in size.

Your Document / Game save and mods Directory will vary as to number of mods and game saves...
