I just bought this game here from GOG and it installed fine and everything seems fine till after it loads the first level. The screen remains black. I can hear all sounds. I have read everything I can find on this forum and tried most all of it. I'm running Windows 7 on an old HP zv5000 with ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 integrated graphics. I'm hoping for some more ideas and suggestions of things to try. The game ran fine from the original cd on this same laptop with XP. After Win 7 was installed, I installed the game from my cd and it ran, but with issues with the movies looking very unclear and very poor resolution and colors and the in game graphics starting okay but at random times suddenly going to what I can best describe as scrambled colors. I was hoping the GOG version would solve my problem but I have this black screen issue. Thanks in advance for any help. P.S. I tried every setting in nglide and in olcfg.exe. nothing fixed the problem.

Have you tried reinstalling the game? It might sound simple, but sometimes its worked for me. Do other video games work with your laptop? I know you said you've scoured the forums, but did you try the solutions listed here?

Running as admin, making sure nothing interrupts it as it's started, etc.

If you love this game look for the Facebook group page called 'Outlaws Players Lucas Arts' and ask to join. We still actively play this in multiplayer!

If you have an Nvidea card be certain that antialiasing-gamma correction is turned "off". If you don't do that in the Nvidea Control Panel [Programs] for Outlaws you will get a black screen once the opening sequence finishes.

on windows 7 you have to run this game as admin with right click (same form olcfg.exe)


try also to check if there are updates with gog galaxy client
