Does anybody have a hint whats going on here? Day 1 patch about the same size of the game (give or take a few GB) ?

Yep, me too, seens so, day one patch, i played for a few minutes when it released, had no major problems in the prologue, dont know why the huge patch though.

... which is great because they added DX12 there as well (I guess). CPU performance goes up by 70 percent in villages. :) Check these numbers:
