not exactly game related i know, but today David Bowie was ripped away from us by cancer by the age of 69

afaic, he was a completly awesome man in many regards, and his contribution to Omikron was just great too (i think songs featured there were exclusives or commissioned for the game, if i'm right.... if not, whatever, he still acted as a digital character with his own look too inside the game)

i'll sure miss this man, planet got a bbit uglier without him

We passed upon the stair, we spoke of was and when
Although I wasn’t there, he said I was his friend
Which came as some surprise I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long, long time ago

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You’re face to face
With the man who sold the world

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for form and land, for years & years, I roamed
I gazed a gazely stare at all the millions here
We must have died alone, a long, long time ago

Who knows? Not me
We never lost control
You’re face to face
With the man who sold the world

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You’re face to face
With the man who sold the world
Just a dimension away, The Dreamers are still playing the underground music scene as omnipresent digital god-being Boz watches over from the networks that pulse through the city's heart.

Risk your soul to see a Bowie concert one last time? Totally worth it.

Originally written for the game and then changed for his album. Bowie confirmed it in the interview he had about the game.

Bowie also designed puzzles for the game.
Thanks for that link. Maybe Bowie's passing will spark a little renewed interest in the game.

I found it funny in the comments to the video that so many people found the game incredibly difficult. LOL

My main criticism of Omikron is that the ending was so obviously and cheaply truncated. You can tell they ran out of money before they ran out of script. Still, it's an all time favorite of mine, up there with Scarface and Skyrim.
Some time ago I recorded all the Dreamers performances in HD and uploaded them. I just rounded that up with the opening titles for this occasion. This seems like a good spot to share them.

New Angels of Promise (opening theme)
Survive
Something in the Air
All the Pretty Things Are Going to Hell

If you think I'm doing shameless self-promotion with a sad occasion, this has all long since been flagged with content ID and these videos are more or less owned by the record company now.

Yeah, the ending sequence gave me a strong impression that the original plan was for the player to battle through Legate Reshev's palace, then past the supercomputer Ix and then face Astaroth.
