Dakmet: First off: I'm playing the Dreamcast version of Omikron. Maybe someone here could give me a hint anyway. So far I didn't have any real trouble playing Omikron using a walk-through. Fighting mode takes some time consuming practice but otherwise it's rather enjoyable and I didn't ran into any obvious bugs except for some minor clipping issues present in most 3D games.

However, I'm currently stuck in the ventilation area in the police HQ. There's some serious bug (Dreamcast version at least), causing the game to freeze whenever I touch any of the walls. Depending on the current character, the game even freezes as soon as I jump down into the pool. Okay, so I got around that by using another character and avoid the walls like the plague. That even means hammering on the action button while swimming to avoid dead-freezing into the exit.

So I got the cable, short-circuit the controller and walk to the now open ventilator shaft. The issue is that I cannot successfully jump onto the fan blade, no matter how often I try. I read multiple walk-troughs, watched Let's play videos but nobody seems to have trouble at this point. I looked at Den's map at this point because they do so in the videos as I suspected the script requires this. After falling down I swim to the exit again, run up again and try again and again and again... Nothing helps.

What's the trick, please?
