If I never see another swap machine in my life that will be great. Got stuck in The Gaulent, going swap machine crazy. Tried to find saved game and only one game (current one) showed up so I can't go back before I got into this mess. Sorry just venting.

I think I'm in the same situation, and I came onto this forum to see if anyone else has gotten stuck between two places with no way out. I run into the boundary plasma to transport to a new location. If that is a "swap machine" , then it's just a reflection of how few games I play. Anyway, I'm stuck between two swap machines, which doesn't make any logical sense. How did I get stuck in the swap machine cycle? Had to be from a third place. Either I'm just unable to find a way back to that third place, OR, it's a glitch in the game. Anyone else get stuck in the game with no way out but to start from scratch?

Very early on I thought I'd trapped myself in a different location with no way out. Restarted the game from the beginning quite dismayed that it could happen. Discovered on the second time through that I was never trapped anywhere, I simply didn't understand fully how I'd gotten there and how to return or exit from that location. Now that I've been through the entire game several times over, there's nowhere I've seen in which you can get trapped. There were some points at which movement seemed impeded, getting stuck and unable to move. Never was truly stuck, just wedged into or up against "walls" or "barriers" that keep you from moving into certain terrain, or going over the edge of a precipice. The gauntlet and maze were one of the more difficult aspects of Obduction. They're not solved and traversed by brute force or random swaps. They require careful analysis and thought before and during tackling them. There's nothing in the gauntlet and maze that cannot be undone, fixed or corrected, no matter how tangled you may think you've made them
