I have an iMac Retina 5K (Late 2014) running macOS 10.13.1 High Sierra. Obduction 1.4.2 ran fairly well but not great -- for example, transitions between worlds sometimes caused the entire computer to freeze. But I played on regardless.

I just downloaded and tried to run Obduction 1.6.5. The application file is still unsigned, so that I had to manually disable Gatekeeper via terminal commands in order to run it.

When I finally got it to run, the menus were completely broken. "Resume Game" was highlighted by default (since it's at the top of the menu), and I could press Return to select it, but that's it. The mouse and other keys did nothing. And since I couldn't use the menus to get to the settings, I couldn't adjust the graphics in order to make the game playable again after updating it.

This is all extremely disappointing. I wasn't enjoying the game that much to begin with, since there was so much pointless running and backtracking, but I at least wanted to finish it. Now? Pfft.

That's not going to happen -- the full system report contains a huge amount of information that I don't want to give to anyone other than Apple.

At this point, I don't expect a resolution of my specific issues, and it's too late to ask for a refund. If there are additional releases of Obduction for Mac in the future, I'll download and try them. Maybe we'll get lucky. Otherwise, I'm writing this off as a loss. I posted here simply to notify others who might be having similar issues.

Anyone who might be experiencing similar issues should first and foremost contact Cyan Support directly, at support@cyan.com.

We're sorry to see you're disappointed in your experience with the game so far. If you have not done so already, GoodFastCheap, I recommend contacting Cyan Support via the email above, or taking GOG Support up on their offer of help.

Just know that in order to investigate and possibly resolve your problem, the Mac system information is needed so we'll know what system you're using, and what potential problem areas there are. The system report does not contain any special private information that either Cyan or GOG would use in any way that Apple would not (i.e., TO HELP YOU).

We look forward to hearing from you if you choose to seek our help directly.

I've just downloaded the 1.6.5.2 update on my iMac 5K late 2015 running macOS Sierra 10.12.5.
I have the exact same issue. The only item of the first menu I can activate is the highlighted Resume Game item...
No selection possible either with the mouse or the keyboard.

The "Unsigned issue" and the "Resume Game" issue are not a single issue.

Cyan Support has received your email, @FamilleLeroy, and will respond to it in the order it was received. Thank you for your patience.

Remember to include the detailed system report about your Mac, it can be generated by following these steps: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203001
Open ~/library/Preferences/Obduction
locate the folder called MacNoEditor and trash it

Obduction should run fine (even though it will be set by default and you will have to redefine your preferred settings)
Yup. Again this release is broken, still going on 2 months later. Tried several times to download directly. Obduction.app verification stalls or fails. Haven't been able to play since before November. Last two releases are unusable. Cyan Support is not helping. <sigh>
