I have sucessfully installed the game, and it runs well.

However, when I try to run it through my NVIDIA GeForce Experience, it opens up Steam and sends me to the store page to buy it on steam. Very odd since it detects the game in my GOG folder. I have the latest drivers, and latest update of OBDUCTION. Does anyone know how to stop GeForce Experience from obsessing over Steam and run my GOG copy?

Looks like nVidia messed up. I don't use GeForce Experience, but there doesn't seem to be any way to modify the target executable through the interface and I can't find any manual ways to do it from a quick Google search. Afraid you might just have to wait to see if nVidia bothers to fix it.
Same behaviour here with German nvidia account. But its no problem to optimize the settings for Obduction in nvidia gforce experience. just start via shortcut on desktop or in gog and all is fine.

Yes, do not use GeForce Experience. It's merely a helper program for GPU n00bs and uses stock and basic settings--and apparently is bugged with this game. You don't need the program at all to run any game your GPU can run. Good luck--all these front-end programs do is try and hold your hand but as you have seen they often simply get in between you and the game you want to play and can needlessly complicate things--you might think of Experience as "training wheels" for your GPU, more or less...;)
