Hi,

i wonder if it is just on my side. I have no background music playing in the game.
There are some places where music is played, e.g. Farleys House.

Is it really ment this way or is something wrong?

Thanks for your help.

In my experience, I have noticed music when I go to places for the first time and if I go to certain areas like Farley's house or the Mayor's office.
Ok, so you mean it is normal that there is no background music?
Only on these special places for example, there may be more of course.

I just wondered why there is no music everywhere.
When i remember correctly on the previous Myst/Riven there were always some kind of music.
So i started to consider it a bug that there is no music :D
It was like that for me too.

I think it's just modern game design. Nowadays, it's considered acceptable to only have music when something relevant is happening (think for example the Dark Souls bosses). The days of constant soundtrack, championed by Monkey Island 2, are mostly over. Too bad though.
Myst and Riven both had points without music.
Riven was more subdued, but Myst in particular had music almost everywhere. Though it was mostly because there weren't all that many locations in the game to begin with.

Essentially, in the outside you didn't get any music, while almost every room had its own tune. That's more than you can say about Obduction.
