I asked here, and on steam, and on the news announcement for the beta branch access, and they've not replied:

dosnt matter, calm down, wait few day and relaxe and Play!
That's the thing; a lot of us *can't* play, despite the fact that the devs worked hard to get two patches out since launch. GoG being unresponsive is unacceptable. It's the tech industry, not a mom and pop shop; if they don't have customer support working weekends they had damned sure better hire some temps over big launches to prevent stuff like this from happening.
For me, it's lesson learned: I won't be buying from GoG again.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head.
Patches on gog are always slow because they check the patches themselves.
Most likely to make sure no drm sneaks in, which is probably quite an easy mistake to do for indie devs releasing both here and steam. Just one tiny mistake like that could easily tarnish the gog brand for the rest of time.

I for one don't mind waiting for that added care of working and non drm infested patches.
Then again I don't wait for game fixing patches as I wait to buy my games until they are done..

It's because Hello Games was not using the beta branch functionality of Galaxy, either because they didn't get access (as the feature is still being developed) or for whatever reason. GOG is working to give them access and hoping to have them online with this by tomorrow. This means any future patches/beta patches after that point should come to Galaxy as soon as they go live.

B0SC0 (a GOG Staff member) has replied to me about this:

At present, they are not using the beta branch functionality on GOG Galaxy, but we're working with them on it and are aiming to have them online with this as soon as possible (can't guarantee when, but we're currently working towards tomorrow). We know how frustrating this is for some, so we're doing our best to resolve this as best we can. My apologies for the delays with this and for my delay in following up with you, BK - very hectic weekend as you can imagine :)

Additionally, you can be sure that if there is an official patch released, then it will be live on GOG very soon after. We have a team on standby during the entire weekend just for that. ;)
