Hi there.

If you're in an uncharted system, that is one, that has no Space Statiion, no Minor Settlements, no life besides flora and fauna, and no Structures besides Distress Signals and generally doesn't yield any information when picked on the Galaxy Map despiite you having installed an Economy / Conflict Scanner: Keep spare Warp Cells on whatever Space Ship you choose to explore that System with you in case you decide to call your freigher in. Or at least be prepared to craft one.

I've just had my freighter, again, going into rescue mode without any attack ships showing up in such a system. Calling my freighter to different positions in that System did not change its status.

Unable to land on my freighter in order to use it to jump, and unable to use a Space Station terminus, I hda to craft a Warp Cell, and then jump out of that System using my Ship. Which promptly threw my into a scripted freighter rescue, being forced to use my battle-wise totally underpowered Explorer.

Having defended the freighter successfuly ( I didn't want to loose rep), I was able to then call my own freighter in, and finally land on it.

While I very much enjoy the thrill of situations like these, I very much doubt that they're intentional. They're bugs, which could very easily result in a wrecked savegame, by getting a player totally stuck. Backups may help, but will set back progress. And of course you need to create them in the first place :)

Edit: Clarification about why I would have needed my freighter to be able to jump out of the system.
