Has nothing to do with with the problem. If you can't run the game none of that stuff has matters.

You have to realize that they are mostly talking about the PS4 version on that page right now.
Also, the thousands of people who are not having problems are too busy playing the game to post anything, so all you see are the people who are having issues and are upset.

*note, I'm not having issues, I want to be sure if we have the patch or not, before trying to save my game.

For the record, the game's running like silk on my wife's PC (which is a rig we built a couple of years ago, so not brand new).

Not trying to be smug at all... just pointing out that the game *does* work on PC. I'm watching it work as I type this, so I know it does,

But clearly there's something stopping it working for others. And that's what needs to be resolved.

No. game was delayed because they sold their soul to ps4, I am sure that they spent majority of their resourses to make it playable on console. Sadly but thats the fate of all mutliplatform games.

I'm one of the lucky ones also, game is working and running at/near 60fps and my biggest problem is I can't alt-tab unless i play it in windowed mode. But it seems like so many people are having problems that there is something going on and needs to be fixed ASAP. Obviously there is the 1.03 patch and we have version 1.0 (unless PC 1.0 is the same as PS4 1.03, which would drastically confuse things), hopefully rolling that out will help.

That aside, I did have a problem during installation that kept the Visual C++ runtime (or whatever) from popping up and so I had to temporarily disable my AV (Avast) and run the "verify/repair" options before I could play the game. Might be worth a try for some.

Man i realy wanted to buy this game and wanne believe those who have no problems but ive seen several twich PC streams with TBiscuit totally trashing the game for this bad port he leave his 26k viewers he could not bare any longer playing this terrible console port.

Thats why i won't buy maybe in few weeks when its all patch but then DEUS EX is coming so i probably won't buy NMS HG have this totally on themselfs shame on Sean Murray for this CASH GRAB.

GOG mods in another thread confirmed that we do have the latest patch. 1.03 on PS4 is 1.0 on PC, so it is kind of confusing.

To those having problems, two things seem to fix issues for some:

1) Install the latest graphics drivers for your cards

2) Make sure the Visual C++ redistributable patch got installed. It is in a _redist folder under your install.
