Spoilers are fine with me in your responses: as noted in the thread title, I found a monolith/portal last night. Activated all the glyphs (I've gathered all 16 glyphs from various graves I've found). But... now what? Do I wait until I've finished the Atlas/Artemis storyline or just try some random glyph patterns and see where I end up?

I've planted a base computer there so I can find my way back to it, as I continued my explorations and continued following the Atlas quest line. Just wondering if I should portal somewhere or wait for a bit. Any advice/suggestions appreciated.

Oh, playing the NEXT update, version 1.55

SPOILERS FOLLOWING

The Artemis questline seems to be sensitive to jumping around, which may end you up loosing it alltogether -- so I wouldn't use a Portal prior to completing this quest (completely), unless the questline asks for it.

In my experience the Atlas questline will just continue wherever you are in the Galaxy.

If you have active missions in your Mission Log, you can usually relocate them to your current position by pressing the middle mouse button while hovering over it. The game will display something along the lines of 'Mission target out of range' or somesuch, if that's neccessary.

For a little more information on Portals, you might want to chime in on the '(Massive Spoilers) Fun discovery' thread, since that has 'Spoilers' written all over it, so Travellers keen on making their own experience with Portals don't accidentially spoil it for themselves.

Thanks, ksj8ak2. I guess I'll just leave it be for the nonce. Having a blast just exploring and poking along the quest lines a bit at a time. So I'll keep the portal marked and just keep exploring around for now.
