Since I don't do raiding fleets for the hell of it, my only way to get Freighter Salvage is to find the Crashed Freighters, or the Nexus missions. I finaly came across a nexus mission, and Started it, and then it automatically canceled every single time, without fail or anything. Is this a glitch, or is now MP only?

I sat for the 5 sec timer and it always cancels or aborts the mission. I didn't touch anything or move, same thing.

What Nexus mission was this? There has been a problem with the missions to obtain minerals that frequently, but not always, have the long-standing abort mission bug. If the first attempt at starting this mission aborts then there is no point in trying to reload until this is offered in a new offering of missions.

Not sure what you mean by "raiding fleets" as this could refer to attacking cargo pods of NPC fleets, destroying the pod ships that may also be in NPC fleets or by sending out Frigate Expeditions.

The Frigate Expeditions seem to return Salvaged Frigate Module fairly regularly although I have not tracked how frequently as I delete these as I have no need to use them.

Attacking Cargo Pods of NPC fleets supposedly has the highest rate of success for obtaining Salvaged Frigate Modules at the expense of losing standing and dealing with Sentinel Starships.

Salvaged Frigate Modules can also be found on Derelict Freighters found by using the Emergency Broadcast Receivers.

Don't know about the Nexus missions but you can find Salvaged Frigate Modules by running derelict freighters. Since you can also get Cargo Bulkheads and Salvaged Fleet Units there (along with other goodies) that might be a better route. The Salvaged Frigate Modules will be in containers. Cargo Bulkheads and Salvaged Fleet Units are at the Engineering terminal.
When you say Derelict Freighters, Are they the ones you pay 5mil for the first location and then just keep increasing, or are they the crashed freighters you find on the planet. I bought like 20 planetary distress maps from the guild, and 10 of them just sent me across the 4 planets 1 moon to the same location. Also had zoomed way around other planets and used a few to make sure it wasn't just me being too close.

They're the ones you can land on in space and then explore. Pay 5 mil for the first Emergency Broadcast Receiver and after that you can get a free one every week from Iteration Helios in the Anomaly.

There's also a trick (unless/until HG "fixes" it). Use the Emergency Broadcast Receiver to summon a derelict freighter. Then after you land on it but before you go through the airlock door, put the Receiver into a Personal Refiner in your exosuit. If you do that then the Receiver won't be consumed. When you finish with that derelict freighter, head to another system and remove the Receiver from the Personal Refiner; it's ready to be used again.

Tke lots of dioxite to recharge your cold environment protection. Check all of the tablets at least until you find the security credentials which you'll need later (there's only one set on each freighter). Don't shoot the nests. Walk softly. Good luck!
The Threadtitel ist "Offline Singleplayer ...".

For Offline Player isn't possible to get an free Emergency Broadcast Receiver on the Anomaly. The "Refiner-Trick" is a legal Workaround for this condition for Offline Player.

Edit: I mostly play offline single player - usually NOT using Galaxy to start NMS. Except Expeditions - I usually start them as multiplayer - then may or may not turn it off - just for the expedition.

...

Without me starting the game and going to the Nexus to check this - are you sure you didn't need to press Start or something? Or get in your ship and launch? I haven't played in a few weeks and I'm hazy on the details atm.

But, I've done multiple Nexus missions, particularly for those freighter salvage modules, so... unless it's a new bug (or "feature") in the last three patches (the Exp5 main patch and the subsequent bug patches), I have this recollection that you have to get out and go - or the mission will cancel.

I'm not trying to send you down the wrong track or anything, but are you sure you don't need to "do something" instead of waiting for the timer to bottom out?

No, they are right, it is apparently with collect the resources that it just auto cancels after timer ends. All the other nexus missions work.
Have tryed to wrote this an monday night, but GOG had no me let to this:

In the new patch (according with the last experimental on Steam) - Sentinel 3.84 you find:

"Fixed an issue that could cause a blocker on Nexus repair missions."

Unfortunately is the patch not yet available on GOG. 3.84 is published from HG on Tuesday.

Hope, this match your issues. Wait and pray.

I have not come across the Collection for Salvage Freighter quest again yet. As soon as I do, or any collection quest. I will let everyone know asap.
