As the game has been released today, as advertised quite some time ago, on other store as MacOS version optimized for Apple's Mx. When will the GOG version get the update?

i really hope they will release the mac version on gog.
As far as I can tell, it should also work on Intel Macs.

But yes, for the folks who have purchased the game on gog.com, it would be great to have the Mac version available here as well.

I can technically play it on my iMac through Bootcamp, but it would be nice to have a Mac native version. And for players who want to upgrade to Apple Silicon in the future, they would be stuck.
As soon as a saw the macOS version available on Steam I came here looking for news on it being available on GOG. I really hope it becomes available soon!
It would be nice to have here too, would encourage me to buy another copy of the game* (I have the Steam version, but play on a Mac via GeForce Now and now natively) so I don't need to waste the system resources on Steam.

* As long as I could transfer my steam save to the GOG version
I'm also excited to know when the Mac version will be out on GOG.
I came here for this too! fingers crossed it comes too. I have an M1 Max that has yet to be properly tested!
I would also like to know
I submitted a support request asking when it will be available. Will update here if I get a response.
It would definitely be nice to know if the update is coming to GOG, especially since the game is on sale right now.
I'm honestly a bit surprised that the port did not release on release day on GOG. This fact in itself illustrates clearly how GOG is treated as an afterthought.

I want to note just how toxic these types of events are in the minds of gamers who have a choice of purchasing a game on Steam vs. GOG, especially where the price tends to be similar. Why would I willingly buy into an after-thought-platform?

GOG really needs to change how distributers treat the platform and contractually mandate that all updates of significance that are made public must also be distributed through the GOG platform, if it wants to avoid this toxic effect onto its own platform.

Well said. Is it really that difficult for the devs to launch an update to their game on GOG? Not a good look and I'm honestly regretting buying NMS here now.
I'm ready for the update just like everyone else...got mods to update.
Here's what you're missing out on:
A bug riddled mess of an update (I've been here for all of them), that HG is waiting to release here because they use the other platforms usually (easier release for testing due to player base) to test and get to the point of a somewhat sane release version. Suck or no suck, that's what this one particular one is waiting for.
Hey, I wanted to play with a friend on steam.

Does this mean I can't untill we have the 4.26 version on GoG ?

Unfortunately, yes
