Hi guys,

Unsure if official channels for GOG visit this forum but I thought somebody may have an idea.

I've read there is a quite large launch day patch, 1.03, for No Mans Sky. From what I have read seems to be pretty much a requirement to have before playing, there are a lot of big changes in it.

Will this patch be part of the initial launch day download / be available right away? I've read that GOG in slow with their updates for games, so I am a little worried.

Guessing because it's not out yet, it would make sense to put out the version that is already patched once hopes.

I see no reason for them not to include the PS4 patch content in the initial PC release. It was a Day-zero patch for PS4 that needed to be issued separately because there was a physical disk version for PS4, and those disks got printed from a master build from July.

The download links are up - though at this writing not 'clickable' yet. One of the items, indeed, is a patch.

I doubt it will be. The game will have gone gold weeks ago and the files already distributed. Gog has probably had them ready to go for a while now.

Why do you doubt it will be? The patch is listed in the GOG files to be available soon (at this writing).

That doesn't mean anything. Afterlife also shows 'patch' and 'lang pack' categories for all OSes, but the game doesn't have any patches or language packs. They always show up.

People in this post sound like they have never purchased a GOG game before.

They will either have a 1.03 installer, or a 1.0 installer with a 1.03 patch plus the pre-order DLC for download.

My version on GoG says it's 2.0.0.2

Been playing for a few just checked the exe and it shows version 1.00

Wrong. 1.0 installer, DLC and no patch. Game crashes in initialization phase.

Make sure you press and hold down E when it says initialise (the Britsh spelling). Many didn't get that you need to press the square on the PS4 - on the PC you have to hold down E. You'll notice an E just below initialize. I really wish they included a manual - at least for the controls.
