Agreed. The subreddit is a bit nuts too, steam forums seems horrible.

But sometimes I feel suspicious. Like, "Am I the only one who bought it on GOG? Did I miss the memo?"

I'm guessing I'm not alone in thinking that there's not a lot to be said before the game actually comes out. A quick glance over on the Steam forums for the game indicate that there seems to be a whole lot of back and forth about how worthwhile the game is, and speculation or assertions that the game will or won't be a certain way.

From an emotional standpoint that makes some sense, as we do tend to feel the need to publicly justify our emotional investment in various articles of culture. But without experience of playing the actual game to ground the discussion, it's hardly surprising that such discourse easily goes astray.
