I can not find the blueprint for warpdrive at all, I've tried the 20 or so ways the internet says to find it but nothing, I've even started and restarted new games with same results my next step is to reinstall.

It's been a while but this description over at Gamepedia sounds right.

Go to your log and make the Awakenings quest the active one. The game has a habit of making a new quest that you receive the active quest. This is what happens when you get the base building quest line, and leads players to an impasse where they seemingly cant progress. If you make the Awakenings quest active and follow it, then it should trigger the events that lead to the hyperdrive and antimatter blueprints.

If this isn't your issue, then yes, a full reinstall may be in order.
