Hi.

Having used a fighter for collecting cargo from my frigates and repairing them, I wanted to use a hauler for that. The hauler in question is one of the wide models with two cuboid cargo bay extensions on each side.

Depending on the model of frigate I land on, I glitch through the landing pad downwards when exiting the ship, materializing on whatever is below the landing pad. If anything happens to be there ...

Also, depending on the model of frigate, the hauler collides with the frigate upon starting from the landing pad, because there's parts of the frigates structure above the pad a more narrow ship (like a fighter) seemingly is able to avoid, but not a wide hauler.

Anyone else experiencing this ?
Not exactly the same issue, but one of my S Class ships (an exotic) is so tall that it clips through into my storage bay area above the hangar. When that ship is placed on one of the rear landing pads, it prevents me from building or accessing areas connected to the rear of the storage bay. I think I'm going to just get rid of that ship since I never use it and I have a superior S Class fighter anyhow.

Short of having the freighters redesigned to accommodate these types of ships (either by Hello Games or via a mod), I don't really see a satisfactory solution.
That's quite some useful information, thank you. I assume, that the Exotic in question is one of those with the large 'swinging' wings ?

Speaking of freighter base building glitches: with NEXT, for the first time ever after over 400 hours of Atlas Rises, I ran into the issue, where a spaceship outside of the freighter was supposedly blocking building. Presumably one of my frigates got in the way.

In my case moving the freighter solved the issue on both occassions.

Related to this one, I'm still experiencing missing all but my currently selected ship from my hangar, after moving my freighter, though -- easily fixed by reloading the current save, but still annoying, and most probably very confusing to new players. Are you also running into that issue ?

Yeah, it has a very tall central fin on top and two shorter fins on either side that swing down to form a fin on the bottom when in flight. It's an ugly ship.

I had the same problem but it seems to be fixed in the v1.53 patch.

There is (was?) such a mod pre-NEXT that scaled the parts of the exotics with tall vertical fins specifically so the fin didn't clip through the upper deck. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name, and a search on Nexusmods just now turned up nothing, but maybe you will be luckier.

[EDIT] I found it on another site: https://allmods.net/no-mans-sky-mods/fixes/exotic-ship-size-reduction/

It scales all exotics, with the intended side effect that exotics with tall fins don't clip through the upper deck.

It's NOT the original mod, but an updated version of it by another modder. Compatible with NEXT.
