Hello,

my System:

GTX770 2GB (99%)
i5-2400 (most time 40-60%)
12GB RAM (6-7GB used from the system)
SSD

I can play only with 30-40FPS, after playing maybe one hour the FPS go down to 11FPS and i can only stop playing and start it again.

Has somebody informations to help?

-I testet all settings from low up to maximum
-FPS is maximum
-VSynch is off
-Resolution is FHD
-Vertical Synch adaptive in the driver settings from nvidia
-GSync is off

What can i do now?

Lower resolution or upgrade hardware.
I also have a 770 4gb. I put textures to high, everything else low. vsync off in game, adaptive vsync on in nvidia control panel. You will want medium textures if you have a 2gb card. I have mostly 60fps dipping down to 40 fps. More often then I would like but I find it playable.

I tried turning resolution down to 1600x900 and it helps a lot with keeping a steady 60fps. But I prefer 1080p and I am willing to live with the frame drops for increased visual fidelity.

I think what is tanking the framerate is the view distance.Turning textures to medium does not impact my fps. Only my vram.

For example when I am looking up at the sky my gpu usage goes way down. When i pull my view back down to the landscape my gpu goes way up in usage and sometimes drops fps depending on the planet.

The game is extremely resource hungry, mostly CPU, so my guess is that is where your bottleneck is. If you can, load up something that tells you CPU and GPU load when you get low FPS / Frametimes (like MSI Afterburner coupled with RivaTuner)

Check temperature as well. I cleaned my CPU from paste and put on new paste, lowering my temp. I noticed I happened to hit my CPU's Tj, Max limit, therefore I guess it clocked itself down (instead of shutting down entirely)

I've heard even with something like an overclocked 4790K processor with a GTX1070 reports their usage is sometimes 100% as well, so I don't think there is much to do but wait for optimisation patches

Try switching from running the game fullscreen to borderless windowed. Also, try turning off the antialiasing, or at least keep it on FXAA. SSAA x 4 (Supersampling) is probably too much for a 770 to handle.
I have had a very similar issue. While lowering your settings may help your overall FPS if you're fine with 30-40 fps it probably won't help with the sudden fps drop.

I have also seen the FPS drop to around 11fps and I am currently running the game at 75+ fps on an i5, GTX 970, SSD, windows 10. Just like you i had to quit out to fix it. How long were you playing for before this happened? The only time this happened to me was after about 8 hours of solid game play. You're the only other person I have seen that has had this same problem.
..actually, game is pretty light on the cpu, in terms of requirement for clock speed.

Very likely it's the havok libraries not completing in time between the cpu and gpu calls, and you get this cascading slow-down effect. Very high end rigs just get a less visible problem, since the framedrops don't go down to a crawl for very long periods of time. But the "eventually it's 11fps" thing is there on the high-end rigs as well for more people than me, it seems.

edit: and yes, the huge drops aren't affected by raising or lowering detail.

I got fed up today (well, yesterday) and since I had been looking at a graphics card upgrade anyhow, I went and bought a GTX1070 to replace the Radeon HD 7870 I previously had. While I was at it, I decided to nuke my machine and reinstall Windows 10 Pro from scratch. Given that 99% of my data resides on other hard disks, it was an easy decision and not much time required for backup.

And suddenly I no longer have constant crashes to desktop, even though I lucked out into a very high biosphere world as a start. Don't know how much the upgraded from Windows 7 operating system junk affected things, but despite running OpenGL 6, the Radeon HD7870 just wasn't up to snuff.
I have a gTX 770 and everything runs ok so far, except space is purple.

Nothing.

The game has a memory leak; just have to keep restarting it every so often until the developer fixes it.
