I know this will probably get buried amidst the growing complaints and issues with NMS, but I needed to mention this somewhere. I want to take a minute to show my thanks to GOG support for helping me out with my issues, specifically Dr Cat who was really patient with me. I'm sure they're swamped with support tickets so any help is truly appreciated.

It also became instantly evident GOG is trying to do everything in their power to fix all the issues with NMS. My experience with support and some other posts in this forum show they're working behind the scenes to get the game working with the resources on hand.

If anyone should be blamed it's Hello Games. I'm sorry but tweeting out minimum requirements after tons of people purchased your broken game is unacceptable. *Sigh* But, you've heard enough ranting as it is.

So for some positivity, just wanted to say GOG has been great with me in terms of support and special mention to Dr Cat.

This is very true, and everyone that bought the game here should realize that GOG is not developing the game, but Hello Games is and same thing applies for when and if updates are released.
Yes, the folks at GOG have always been nothing but great when I've had to deal with them.
Currently the fact I bought here and don't want to impact them is the only reason I have not refunded this title (on Steam this would have been gone before 2 hours played).

Technical issues I only have the occasional one where when starting it sometimes takes longer and has occasional stuttering for the first 10-30 min. I believe this may be related to the shader caching issue they discussed as improperly causing recompiles on some startups. It doesn't happen every time, and once FPS is stable I run a rock steady 60 FPS.
Another thumbs up here for GOG.

I was only capable of playing it briefly the very same Friday. Although I didn't suffer technical issues I detected that NMS lacks joystick support. Yes, unbelievable but true, a space sim without joystick support. (Most, if not all joysticks use DirectInput, and NMS only supports the newer XInput designed (with tons of limitations) around the Xbox 360 controller).

I used GOG support and they have answered today with the http://www.x360ce.com/ workaround which, I'm pretty sure, should work: http://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/4/360672137537998785/

With the tons of emails about "NMS doesn't start in my PC" they must be receiving, I consider that a pretty fast answer, specially when it's clear it's only Hello Games fault.
