It happened to me several times.
I save then quit the game. And suddenly, things are done need to be done again. That oxygen generator needs to be fed again, and produced nothing. That construction in the settlement I got to bet a bit to late to finish is gone. These kind of things. Maybe it's more a problem of "did not actually save", I don't know. I don't remember ever little thing I do.
It can happen either after an autosave or a manual save.
Note that I already disabled the galaxy cloud feature.
This is not right.
Am I the only one this happens to? Is there some kind of solution to fix it?

There have been a few occasions where I exited the game too quickly after an automatic save event (exiting ship). Waiting a few seconds corrects this and I try to look for the message that the save had been created.

The oxygen generator issue may be related to a bug from years ago that was never fixed and happens with other harvesters like the original automatic mining units, gas and mineral extractors.

Thanks for that tip.
Devs (who'll never read this, but…): Exiting the game to fast for the save? Really? That's the very first time I ever get to see such a big. And I've played hundreds of games. That's a terrible blunder.

Years ago? Man, sometimes, I don't understand video games devs. I mean, these have talent, obviously. They even got the "key binding" thing right, not a "character binding" like most games these days. And they also are among of those gender nuts, which is very annoying, but well, that's their choice to make("they" is a plural, dammit and gender is sex related, not a decision, even if nature sometimes sadly bugs too). Yes, this one might be difficult to reproduce, whatever. Don't care: just fix it.

English "you" is also a plural form which came to be used as the singular. The singular English "thou" was pretty much abandoned by the 17th century in favor of "ye" to refer both to one person and to a group. Vowal shifts later converted "ye" to "you."

As far as NPC genders go... who knows? The Korvax are genderless. The Gek may be androgynous; certainly there is no obvious sexual dimorphism. Spawning pools imply something like our amphibious forms, which are able to switch sexual roles depending on the environment. Similarly with the Vy'keen. Perhaps they shift roles at different life stages, or maybe three (or more?) gender roles are necessary for procreation.

According to the lore, the last Traveler to ask a Vy'keen "Hey, how do y'all do it? nudge-nudge" survived just long enough for regret. ;-)
"Gender" is a mammalian thing.

In NMS, the other beings ARE ALIENS. Might not even have a "gender".
