Hey there :)

Something is wrong with the way that fov is applied. When i set the FoV to 100 it still looks zoomed in.
Actually it looks more like a FoV of 90 or lower when compared to games/engines like Quake, UT and any other FPS out there.

When i set to FoV via the config file(TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML) to 200 it actually looks like Quake/UT/etc. 120.
Something is wrong there!

It also looks as if the whole picture is cropped. Like old Games going from a 4:3 resolution to widescreen, or like the first Bioshock.
I also noticed, that the whole game is not rendered with my set resolution of 1920x1080. It is either internally 1280x720 or something in between but always lower than my native resolution, which could explain the huge aliasing artifacts. Actually....it looks like the first Dark Souls before Durante allowed the correct resolution to be rendered.

Anyone else noticed this?

Yeah I noticed that I wanted to keep raising the FOV even after I had already raised it to 100. Normally 90 or even less is plenty for me.

I also noticed the bad aliasing even with AA turned on at 1920x1080. At 2560x1440 it was less noticeable but I want the higher FPS so I am only playing at 1080. Many games I simply turn off AA at 1080 since it is barely noticeable to me, but in NMS it is super easy to see. Never thought about the possibly of the game internally running a different resolution.

I still think the game looks great, but it would be nice to have more FOV available and some way to reduce that nasty AA at 1080.

Ok, so i am not alone :)
Hopefully they, or someone else fixes that.
There are people reporting its 720p upscaled to 1080p
It could also be that NMS has a different distance calculation than other games, which is why the value of FOV is different.
