I'm opted in to the experimental beta via the Galaxy client however despite there having been FIVE (5) pushes to experimental by Hello Games since 3.98 was released, I have none of them. This is annoying. The Steam players get the update within an hour or so of HG's update and we wait I don't know how long.... Toggling the beta channel on and off only downloads 69MB each way, so it's not really getting the resources (and the exe size stays the same)

Discussed in several prior threads. About a year ago Hello Games and GOG decided that we are not worthy of participating in 3xperimental and GOG support confirmed this when closing a support ticket regarding the inability to access both Twitch drops and 3xperimental.
I'm not really worried about the lack of a GOG connection to Twitch. Everything you can get for watching channels, you can buy for mercury. It will be worse if gifts cannot be bought in the game, but this will already be discrimination and illegal.

To a first approximation, I would estimate that GOG player participation in the GOG NMS forum as compared to Steam player participation in the Steam NMS forums (note the plural, there are eleven) is about the same ratio as GOG player participation in the experimental channel as compared to Steam player participation.

If that's the case then it's likely that the amount of feedback HG received from the GOG experimental channel did not justify the (however slight) developer effort in servicing that chennel on GOG.

"Worthy" probably didn't come into it. A perceived lack of interest may have.
