I remember hearing before launch that the player's starting ship would be procedurally generated and randomized. The stats would be the same, but each would have a somewhat random or unique appearance. Now that the game is out, I noticed that both times I started a new game (I have played on 2 different systems) the ship was identical. Looking at blogs and wiki pages and YouTube videos has yielded images of ships the same as both of mine. A short, stumpy, red ship with a square cowling behind the cockpit and a round nose? Has it been the same for everyone on here?

Yeah, my starter ship looks the same. I think everybody starts with that ship.
