What controllers are supported by No Man's Sky? I have a Logitech Dual Action gamepad and it doesn't seem to work. Also I'd like to use a Joystick to fly the ship. I'm not really a keyboard and mouse person.

The only controller outside of mouse+keyboard that I have tried is a wired Xbone controller. It works fine.
I don't have a third party gamepad to try. I do have a HOTAS but I can't be bothered. The flight model is very very forgiving and closer to Wing Commander than Falcon.
Perhaps I should look into xbox360ce? I wasn't expecting issues, spoiled by Elite Dangerous that supports a wide range of controllers.

I don't know what a xbox360ce is.
Elite Dangerous supports natively a wide range of controllers but they are very different games. Very.

EDIT, mind you, I am not saying that I wouldn't like HOTAS support on this game. :)

hi,

playing it with xbox one wifi Controller, works perfect, no issues.

Greetings
I was able to get my Logitech gamepad working by using x360ce

www.x360ce.com

I had to rename the .dll it installs to xinput9_1_0.dll and install in both the No Man's Sky directory and the Binaries sub directory as well to get it running.

Glad you made it work. Have fun.
One issue I've run into with the controller is that you still have to use the keyboard to rename things, and when you do the hint keys change to the keyboard versions until you leave the menu, which can be annoying if you don't remember which button is 'rename and upload' and which is just 'upload'.
My Saitek Cyborg Evo joystick doesn't work either...

It really seems they "forgot" to put joystick support in a FLIGHT SIMULATOR (no matter how arcardish it is).

Look here too: http://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/1/360672137536043165/

I've opened a bug ticket here in GOG and I've emailed Hello Games support. Let's hope the very first patch addresses this stupidity...

What follows is my opinion, but this situation is unacceptable. I mean, if this were a 20 € game, all these kind of overlooks would be perfectly understandable. But if you go to the AAA 60€ threshold, sorry but you cannot say "we apologise for all the inconveniences you are suffering, we are a very small team". Sorry, you wanted to play high, you asked high for my money, now answer adequately...
