pravn: I've fixed my ship, I've got launch thrusters charged to 100% and pulse drive almost to 100%, I'm getting the prompt to press W to take off... but nothing happens if I press W. Any idea what I'm missing? Does the pulse drive need to be at 100% the first time you take off?
notepad: This is another UI 'quirk' I hope they fix. You have to press and hold whatever key you have bound to "forward" while in the ship. The prompt still shows 'W' even when you've rebound the key to something else. Also you have to hold it in until the circle finishes its animation.
THIS. I changed my buttons and was a little flummoxed when later it said press `E` and I was pressing `E` to no affect- Oh yes, I`d changed the button!
And yes, you must
hold and watch the circle fill up. You have to press and hold with
EVERYTHING, even selling and buying stuff. I suspect this is the consolitus disease that affects some pc games.
However, once you get used to it it`s a pretty quick way to do things. Make sure you customise the keys to exactly what you like.
