It's the label where the distance (time or linear units) to the icon's anchor is shown. For some reason, the beacon's label is left blank so you just see the clock on the tab.

Would be awfully handy to be able to add custom text to the beacon which would show up there. Along with the distance, of course.

Technically, it's a 'empty coding slot' for the time ahead when HG will allow players to name their beacons.

I agree TOTALLY with the custom text!!! I sent that as a request to HG (I actually send quite a few requests - maybe if I make a pest of myself, they'll start listening???)
