I noticed some weird things involving freigters and wonder if it's by design or just bugs:

I concluded with success a space battle after an emergency call from a freighter, then went in to speak with captain and instead of taking the reward I have chosen 'buy freighter'. I was delighted to get 1 more slot and the freighter for free, although the 'value' for that freighter and my freighter in green showed about 8 million difference.

Then I went to my building section of the new freighter and: the 2 containers I had placed before on my old freigther were not there anymore, their content was:

Yellow-colored container:
2500 Iron in one container (2 slots);

Blue-colored container:
Chrysonite, Platinum

Instead I found in the 'vault' 100 Iron + 1 Voltaic cell.
Oh, and: a ship that I bought before was not there anymore, but I think once I summon the freighter for the first time my ship will return.
I'm lucky that I didn't have any bigger farming going on, I guess this would all just disappear with some bare items left in the vault.

As soon as you re-build the containers in another freighter, all its content will be there again, but you lose half of the ressources to build the containers, so you need to dismantle them manually before buying new freighter.

Ships that disappear when changing freighters appear again as soon as you summon the freighter to another location.
Also 2 of your ships may 'stack' to the same landing point! In this case, fly away with the one facing the exit or reload the last save.
