I was building some rooms on my freighter then something happened and I suddenly found myself stuck between floors and I can't figure out how to get out of the situation. See attached pic. There is no way out of the area I'm trapped in. I tried building fresh corridors and doors but they end up connecting to the existing build and I can't access them. Then I built a save point and hit the button. When I tried loading from that I thought the game would spawn me at floor level but it didn't - it put me right back between floors. Tried my autosave and discovered my most recent one still put me between floors. I thought if I delete the items around me I might just fall through to the next floor but you can't delete the item you are in or one you are too close to.

Anyone else ever had this problem what's the solution?

I've found a solution.

Unfortunately I hadn't done a manual backup of my NMS game files in about 6 weeks however I haven't made any significant changes to my freighter in that time. I downloaded Goatfungus' NMSSaveEditor, loaded into it the 6 week old game and backed up that version of my freighter (after making it S class!) Then loaded the current game and "restored" my freighter from the backup. When I started the game I was in the same location but the new rooms weren't there anymore so I was just standing on the hull of my freighter. A nearby entry point got me back inside. All's good now.

I'd still be interested in hearing from other people who have had this problem. Seems like a glitch to me.
I noticed ur post just now (very late, i know) but i think it would be possible to escape if u could build a sittable couch close to u. Upon interacting with it, you would automatically move to sit on it, and upon moving afterwards you would stand up finding ur feet at the same altitude as the floor where the couch was placed.
