Hi,
Can't play the game anymore since 1.57 : the installation failed ("configuration failed").
I try to re-install but still got the problem.
Am I the only one ?
(sorry for bad english :))

Have you tried the verify/repair option?
I also expierenced some weirdness, when trying to install 1.57. In my case, after uninstalling 1.55, the 1.57 installer would simply hang.

What did the trick for me, was to remove the No Man's Sky installation folder manually. Uninstalling 1.55 didn't remove it completely, I had to do it manually.

My guess is, that since I patched my way up to 1.55, some files failed their checksum test, and thus weren't removed (or not recognized at all), and the installer promptly shuffled its feet over them.

Your case might have a completely different cause, but it might be worth a try, nonetheless.

BTW: Are you installing manually by using downloaded files, or are you trying to install using Galaxy ?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
The problem was the Galaxy Client. I uninstalled it and install the game manually and it works =)
Nice to hear that you found a solution! I think someone should mark this thread as "SOLVED". ^^

Is there actually a way to mark a thread as solved, without marking someone elses posting as an answer ? Totoro91330 answered the question, but being the OP, can't mark this posting as the solution, as far as I know.

I googled and apparently a user who creates a thread can't mark it as "SOLVED". If this is the case, I think it's dumb. An OP should have the right to tag his/her question as solved. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Actually, only the thread creator can mark the question as solved. If you hover your cursor over the header of the post you want to mark as the solution, there should be a 'Mark as Solved' button show up, similar to the way the 'Reply' and 'Rate this Post' buttons do. If it doesn't then it could be a bug.

*edit* Of course, the OP has to come back to do that.
