HI,

Wondering if anyone else is having the issue of switching to 1440p and having massive unplayable flickering? I can run it fine on 1080p but as soon as I switch it to 1440p it goes nuts and keeps rapidly flickering. I have tried the fullscreen - borderless fix however that didn't work. I've looked everywhere and can't find a fix.

Thanks

sounds like your computer can not handle 1440p
It runs fine at 1440 for me, no flickering. However I prefer the higher FPS of 1080p with my setup.

Like Regals says, it is likely that your 3d card cannot keep up with the bandwidth requirements of 1440p. It may also be that your 3d card can handle it but that your pci express slot can't (Such as PCIE 2.0 x8. )
in your graphics card control panel disable your shader cache and in the games settings folder find the TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML open that with notpad or notpad ++ and change Gsync from True to False then save it and it should help with stuttering.

They said flickering I am guessing like the screen is flashing... not like it is jerky.
Thanks for all your responses. It's not my rig unfortunately it's not that easy. 1070 with ROG Maximus Hero and a 4k Monitor with an I7. I play pretty much everything else on 1440p or 4k and looking at NMS in 1080p i'm pretty sure I have more resource demanding games than it. I'll try 0zzi's reply. Thanks

EDIT and in response to Regals yeah the screen is flashing, not jerky.

Unfortunately 0zzi's idea didn't work...

Let us know how it went. I am personally running it on 2560x1600 with an Nvidia 1080, driver version 368.81, windows 10.

Since you use the same brand and the new next gen lineup as well, I think you should be able to get it to be fixed. I don't have flickering with either GSync enabled or disabled. I'll try running it on 1440p for you.

Edit: no flickering on 1440p either. I played for 10 hours so far on 2560x1600 without a crash or graphics issues.

Maybe there's something enforced in the nvidia panels that the game doesn't like. Then again why does it only happen for you on 1440p? It's strange.

Thanks for all the ideas. I fixed it by making my desktop res 4K. For some reason the game will flash violently if my desktop resolution is 1440p, it really didn't like it. If anyone else has the same problem that's the fix.

That's so weird. Well at least it works for you and that's what counts :)

Great to know kinda makes sense because it is switching resolution when going full screen didn't think of that.
Had problems with older games before where had to lower resolution.

kinda similar but not really.
