I'm having trouble finding this information online, for some reason. About what level can I expect to be by the end of Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, if I enter it at level 5? In particular, will I be able to play Kingmaker afterwards without trouble?

It should take your character to around level 12-14, based on some archived comments from the old Neverwinter Vault page. The recommended starting level for Kingmaker is actually lower than the recommended starting level for WCoC, as you can start with a brand new character that will gain levels from doing quests.

Er...no? When I started Kingmaker with a brand new character, the game automatically levelled him to level 10.

Kingmaker is designed for a level 1 player. Once the prelude is over, you'll find your character returns to level 1. If you complete as much of it as possible, you should get to around level 9. Since WCoC is designed for a level 6-7 character, your preferred play order should be Kingmaker >> WCoC, rather than the order you stated in your OP.

Seriously? I've been playing several other modules first so I could rp getting those levels! Well, that was a waste of time...

(Yes, I do know you can use automatic levellers, but I wanted to do it through gameplay).

I guess I'll abandon that character for now, and move on to Tales of Arterra.
