I bought this game yesterday and I've been trying to find a solution but I'm drawing a blank on this one.
I can start the game and complete character creation fine, but when I finish my character the games gets stuck on the "logging character into module" screen. Background music still plays but there is no indication of it actually loading.
Does anyone have a fix for this?

Kind of hard to say what the issue is with that information. Care to share your OS/ approx. hardware?
Also I would assume that you tried loading the original campaign without any mods?
To help get a hand on things: There should be pre-built characters for the OC. Can you try loading into the game with any of those?
