I just downloaded and installed the 7-game series and was excited to get back into playing this game (had the original Myst game when it first came out). Unfortunately, when I started the first game, I was hugely disappointed in the heavy pixelation in the intro, hoping the actual game when started would be at least as crisp in video as the original was back in the day. No such luck. I don't understand why there is any pixelation happening, since the download page showed the quality to be excellent. So, can anyone tell me what the heck I can do to fix this? Otherwise, I'm going to have to ask for my money back. Thanks for any help with this.

Are we to guess about the specifications of the computer you're running this on?

Based on your post it would appear to have nothing to do with the game. Like the poster above me mentioned, without a list of your hardware, OS, etc., it's pretty much impossible to offer any helpful suggestions. But I can tell you that what you are seeing is not the way the game displays normally--sounds like a hardware configuration problem somewhere on your end.
