So, The Vorpx drivers should be compatible. I'm going to configure settings with a razor hydra, as well as 360 controller and mouse and keyboard. My machine should handle it quite nicely, and I'll probably broadcast it on twitch for interested parties. Multiplayer with Uru would be grand.
Would be interesting to hear how this turned out. Myst style games were actually the first things I thought could work great with the Rift, I for one hope there'll be a resurgence in the genre if that becomes popular enough.

There KIND OF has been a resurgence with games like this lately, but in different art styles. Dear Escher is one of them, as well as that one that looks like Minecraft, but is all about exploration.

That being said, I can't wait until I can get my hands on a Rift. RealMyst, URU and V is topping my list of games to experience.

Yes, Gone Home, Proteus, Kairo, Antimatter and the upcoming The Witness are also in a similar style I guess. Most of them are purely about the exploration part though, and while I loved exploring the locations in Myst, figuring out the puzzles were certainly also part of the experience.
