As the title says. When launching, it only changes the resolution to 640*480, leaving me at the desktop. If I alt+tab into and out of the application, it sometimes gives me a black screen with a cursor on it.

I'm running windows 10 64 bit, I7 Kaby lake, Gforce 1080 and 16 gb ram

I am having the same problem I think. It just changes the resolution of my desktop, but no game actually appears. ALT+Tab does not even lead me to a black screen.

Yeah, I just installed this for the first time, and I'm having the same issue... Really hope GOG fixes this soon.

5th'ing this problem. Shame if I couldn't play such a goody oldie.

EDIT: Try uninstalling whatever versions of Quicktime you have installed and verifying/repairing your Riven installation to reinstall the proper version of QT. It worked for me!
