It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I click the watch now button and I receive a black square with no video stating "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.

Do I need a specific player? I'm trying to watch the free movie about Pirate Bay....does choosing watch now stream the movie?
Thanks!

Yes. If it doesn't work for you, try different browser - Pale Moon or SRWare Iron.
Thankyou!! Chrome worked! +1 !!
I just decided to watch one of my movies for the first time, and I'm not getting a "Watch Now" button at all. I have the option to download, but I don't wanna wait for it to download if I'm supposed to have the option to stream it. I tried my other 2 movies and none of them have the button. Using Chrome, nothing being blocked by add-ons.

Any suggestions? Can someone check their's out, and maybe post a screen-cap of where I should see this button?

(Yeah, yeah, necro, I know...same problem though, so why bother with a new topic?)

It's not remotely the same problem as your button is missing completely. IIRC, people were complaining about the missing button with the new shelf. The few comments I saw people were unsure if it was a temporary problem or if GOG removed the streaming service. Best thing would be to contact support. Oh, using FF here and also no streaming option.

I figured it was close enough, seeing as it involved streaming the movie rather than downloading it. But regardless, you're right, I probably should contact support (it never hurts).
And here's the response I got...

"Currently, we do not support streaming of GOG movies"

...along with apologies, etc. So are GOG movies simply no longer stream-able for anyone?

You can still stream the movies. Just take a download link and replace the word "downlink" with the word "video".

The GOG video player will start to stream the movie then. Subtitles don't work for me though.

It works! Still weird though that they would disable the button for it, but allow us to manually do it.
