On the first level, there appears to be a secluded room to the north. I haven't found any stairs elsewhere in the tower to get me there, and Teleport isn't working either. Any way of getting in there?

According to my cluebook, there are tapestries and not carpets that hide the buttons that can open passages or disarm traps. Just search thoroughly, and you should find a button that will let you go where you need to.

Yes. It tells me "Nothing happens." I thought I had hit every button in the tower.
EDIT: I had actually hit it before, so hitting it again tells me "Nothing happens."

That's entirely possible. I had noticed the hidden area with my Wizard Eye & figured I must've missed a button or a staircase somewhere, assuming I'd find it eventually. But if I gave the "neutral" answer rather than the "good" answer, maybe that's why its still hidden.
Too late for me to find out for certain though...I'm way past that part, up to the point of joining the 2 sides of Xeen.
