Has anyone figured out a way to play M&M VI with the resolution patch in Windows 8? It requires you to play the game in windowed mode, but you have to change your windows desktop to 16 bit color mode for it to display properly in that mode.

Problem is, Windows 8 doesn't have a 16 bit color mode.

Any ideas? Or are there any other tricks to increase the resolution?
